An Opportunity In The Lucrative Surf Indusrty

GlobalSurfingServices.com is an ever expanding network of local surfers who offer travel services on a part time basis to traveling surfers. We don't do anything ground breaking or special, we just try help out traveling surfers in our spare time. Its as simple as that.

Why do we do this? The answer to this is simple too. We do this because we love to surf and we love to travel. As we are traveling surfers ourselves, we understand the challenges, issues and frustrations that come hand in hand with surf travel.

Armed with this understanding, we are uniquely placed to design simple but effective surf travel services for others who share our passion.

Why We Are Expanding: Basically, the bigger our network gets, the more effective we can be. Bringing on board more and more locations means we can:

  • Pool funds for more effective marketing and advertising
  • Innovate and create better travel related products for the surf industry
  • Learn more effectively from each other
  • Present a single face to suppliers so we can negotiate better deals for the whole network

What We Are Looking For: The following bullet points summarize the qualities we are looking for in a new network partner:

  • You must live at a surf destination and be able to service surfers at that destination.
  • Your destination must not already be covered by a partner in our network. Our network partners get exclusive rights to their defined area.
  • You have some spare time in which to help out traveling surfers.
  • You'd like to earn some extra money helping such traveling surfers
  • You have a decent amount of initiative, are self motivated and want to make a success of yourself
  • You take responsibility for yourself. This means you see your mistakes as your own, your successes as your own, recognise lessons as they come along and improve as you go. We do not want people in our network who blame everyone else as soon as something does not go as planned

Most of our partners run this business on a part time basis or as part of a bigger business. It is not a get rich scheme, but a real business offering real services. It will start small and grow depending on your location and the amount of effort you put in. We make no claims or estimations regarding the amount of money such a business in your area will make.

What You Get:

Your Website: We will design, launch, host and market a website for your location, with your contact details on it. Note: The website will be owned by Ocean Feather Pty Ltd, but the lease of this website will be part of your membership fee

Access To Our Members' Area: Our membership area offers our operators a suite of information and tools to help them run their business. This includes:

  • All the document templates and spreadsheet examples currently being used by members to help them run their businesses. (These are pro-formas only)
  • A members' forum where we exchange ideas, lessons learned (both good and bad) and discuss potential new products and joint marketing efforts

Membership in a growing community of traveling surfers, all trying to earn extra money by adding value to an industry we love.

What Your Responsibilities Are:

Your Business: This is your business. Your membership fee should be treated as a lease on the website. All other responsibilites related to running a business will be yours. This includes:

  • Business structure - you need to take responsibility for the best structure in which to run your business.
  • Legal responsibilities - you need to ensure you comply with the laws of your location
  • Insurance - you are responsible to get insurance for public liability and your business as you see fit.
  • Stock - you need to purchase the equipment required to run the business (Ie. surfboards, wetsuits etc)
  • Time - you can set your own hours
  • Delivery - you are responsible in fullfiling your contractual obligations with your clients
  • Receipt Of Payment - you are responsible for collecting the money due from your clients for the services you provide.
  • Accounting and Tax Reporting - your responsibilities

Your Membership: You need to supply a credit card so we can charge you your monthly membership fee. It is your responsibility to ensure this credit card is kept up to date.

Your Future: You can pretty much take this business where ever you want to take it. It is yours. However, if you decide to sell it, the purchaser must be made aware that the website is not part of the business (Ie. it is owned by Ocean Feather Pty Ltd) and membership in our network, including all the rights and responsibilities there within, is part of the business.

All Liabilities: This is your business, we are just providing you an opportunity to start it and some support along the way. Just as is the case with any business, all liabilites accruing to your business are yours.
